Meet the Anstandigs

Rabbi Jared Anstandig currently serves as part of the rabbinic team at Shaarei Shomayim and Judaic Studies faculty at Bnei Akiva Schools. For the last two years, Rav Jared was Sgan Rosh Beit Midrash of Beit Midrash Zichron Dov. Prior to moving to Toronto two years ago, he served as the rabbi of the Orthodox community in Ann Arbor, Michigan, leading a community of university students and adults. He previously also taught Judaic Studies at Ramaz Upper School in New York City and served as a Chaplain in the US Army Reserve.

Sarit Anstandig currently teaches Judaic Studies at Ulpanat Orot and serves as a Yoetzet Halacha for the Toronto community. Previously, Sarit taught at Farber Hebrew Day School in Detroit, at the University of Michigan Hillel, and at Yeshivat Frisch in New Jersey. Jared and Sarit, along with their three children Batya, Aryeh, and Shira, love the opportunity to create a JLIC community in the down South part of the Toronto community.
